Due to a schedule conflict with the impending crab fishery, AMSEA had to change the date for their upcoming Fishing Vessel Drill Conductor workshop in Petersburg. The Fishing Vessel Drill Conductor Workshop will now be February 5th from 8am to 6pm and the Fishing Vessel Stability Awareness and Damage Control will now be February 6th from 8am to 2pm. AMSEA Course and Dockside Exams in Petersburg this February
AMSEA will be holding courses in Petersburg next month. Monday, February 6th, from 8am to 7pm they will hold a one day Drill Conductor Workshop. This course will not have a pool session, but will focus on cold water survival, EPIRBS, flares, Maydays, man overboard recovery, emergency drills, and more. Tuesday, February 7, from 8am to 2pm they will hold a Stability Awareness and Damage Control class. This course focuses on the basics of stability, owner responsibilities and requirements, damage control, and more. Classes are free to commercial fishermen.
